The Story of
Milani "Milli" Skyla Newson
Milani was born April 12, 2012 to parents Michael and Byanca Newson in Johns Creek, GA. She was known by her friends and family to be smart, outgoing, and caring with an infectious smile. Milli was truly a vibrant spirit who loved to dance, draw and attend school.

Milani was a member of Great Gig Dance Co., where she participated in ballet, jazz class and practiced gymnastics for Cobb Co. Parks and Recreations for two years. She also enjoyed playing video games with her cousins and spending countless hours watching YouTube. One day, she aspired to be a participant on Chopped Kids, a Food Network television show for budding child chefs. No stranger to the spotlight, she filmed to commercials for Youth Villages and Emory Healthcare of Atlanta.

Milani "Milli" Skyla Newson gained her wings September 11, 2019 following a yearlong battle with brain cancer. She journeyed through her final days upheld by the care and presence of her loving family.
